The Alchemy of Endings: A Scorpio Season Reflection

As the days grow shorter and the air takes on that unmistakable “spooky season” chill, Scorpio Season invites us all to turn inward. It’s the time of year when the veils thin — between worlds, between who we’ve been and who we’re becoming. It’s not always comfortable, but it’s always transformative.

For me, this season always feels personal. My Moon sits in Scorpio, tucked into my fifth house of creativity and joy, so deep work and big feelings are my jam. My astrology mentor lovingly teases that I adore my “witchy poo” things — and she’s not wrong. There’s something about this time of year that reminds me how healing and magic go hand in hand.

I’m a sensitive person, and if you’ve read my post about how astrology helped me step into my power, you know that I’ve learned to see this sensitivity as a gift — my superpower — instead of a weakness. That self-understanding has been hard-won, and Scorpio energy always seems to bring me back to it.

The Alchemy of Endings

During eclipse season, a few old wounds resurfaced — not to punish me, but to be healed with the wisdom I didn’t have before. It’s in these moments that I remember just how far I’ve come since my divorce. I wrote about that journey in my Power Beneath the Ashes post, but the short version is this: transformation isn’t gentle.

Scorpio is ruled by Mars, the ancient god of war, and Pluto, the modern ruler known as the cosmic composter — turning what’s decayed into rich soil for new life. When those two energies meet, the result is nothing short of an emotional earthquake. The process of rebirth asks us to break down what no longer serves so that something more authentic can grow in its place.

And wow, has it been intense. But it’s also reminded me that healing isn’t linear. Some seasons ask us to rise, others to rest — and all of it is part of the process.

Becoming Aruna

Looking back over the last few years, I can see how every breakdown became a breakthrough. I wasn’t necessarily happy in my marriage, but it was familiar — and leaving that familiarity required a leap of faith I didn’t think I could make. It was one thing to believe that the universe would catch me, and another to actually jump.

That leap is how Aruna was born. She’s my phoenix — the living embodiment of the rebirth that comes from choosing yourself, even when you’re terrified. Like a toddler learning to walk, I’m still finding my rhythm, but I’m grateful for every wobble. I have a beautiful support system and a compass that never fails me: my intuition. It might look unconventional from the outside, but it’s exactly who I am — witchy poo and all.

Strength in the Everyday

This journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve been raising my daughter, building a business, and healing all at once. But I’ve come to realize that we are all far stronger than we think. Every time I choose to trust myself, I’m showing her that she can do the same — that even when life feels uncertain, we can still find magic and meaning in the process of becoming.

Because my Scorpio Moon lives in the fifth house, I can honestly say that this deep self-work is fun for me. It fuels my creativity — not just in the ways Aruna continues to evolve, but also in the art I create through painting. My emotions often find their way onto the canvas, blending with color and texture in ways words can’t always express. This is the time of my life where I’m doing things as if I can’t fail — and that’s the real power of rebirth.

Reflection

Scorpio Season reminds us that every ending holds a seed of beginning. Rebirth isn’t a single moment — it’s a practice. It’s the quiet, courageous act of choosing yourself again and again, even when you can’t yet see what’s taking shape.

If you’re in a season of change, trust that you’re not starting over — you’re becoming more of who you truly are.

Reflection Questions:
