Full Moon in Libra: Coming Home to Yourself

There’s something about Libra that asks us to seek balance — not just in our outer world, but in our hearts. On April 12th, the Full Moon rises in Libra — the sign of beauty, harmony, and relationship, ruled by Venus herself. And as Venus stations direct, we’re invited to examine the relationships that matter most — especially the one we have with ourselves.

For me, this full moon lands in my fourth house — the realm of home, belonging, and emotional roots. And lately, I’ve been reflecting on how much of my journey has really been about coming home to me.

In my marriage, I don’t think I really liked myself. I knew I was worthy on a mental level, but I couldn’t feel it in my body. I often looked outside of myself for reassurance — hoping someone else could reflect back what I couldn’t yet see within. And when it was reflected back, I didn’t believe it. I said yes when I meant no. I played the part. And somewhere along the way, I started losing touch with what actually brought me joy.

Over time, I noticed myself withdrawing socially — not because I didn’t enjoy being around people, but because the spark just wasn’t there anymore. When we did go out, I often found myself overindulging because it gave me a temporary sense of release. A soft numbing. A way to cope with the disconnect I couldn’t name at the time.

I struggled with my appearance too. I didn’t feel beautiful, and I didn’t feel truly seen. I didn’t think he believed in me — not fully — and over time, I started to question my own worth and gifts.

But something shifted.

Through astrology, reflection, and a lot of inner work, I started to return to myself. To see the truth of who I am beneath all the roles I had played. And now? I honestly think I’m happier with myself than I’ve ever been. I like my own company. I feel beautiful — inside and out. Am I lonely sometimes? Sure. But I’d rather be alone in peace than lose myself in someone else’s expectations.

That’s the message of this Full Moon in Libra — a mirror moment. One that invites us to ask:

  • Am I at peace in my own presence?

  • Do my relationships reflect the truth of who I am?

  • Where have I been silencing my needs or sacrificing my joy?

As Venus moves forward, we are supported in coming back into harmony with ourselves. Not through perfection, but through honesty. Through self-devotion. Through choosing to value ourselves — fully.

And when we begin there, everything else begins to shift.

A Ritual for Reconnection

This Full Moon ritual is designed to help you reconnect with your inner beauty, reflect on your relationship with yourself, and begin to restore balance from the inside out.

You’ll need:

  • A mirror

  • A candle (pink, white, or whatever you have)

  • A small bowl of water with rose petals or a few drops of essential oil

  • A journal

Create the space: Light your candle. Place the mirror where you can see your reflection. Take a few slow breaths and settle into the moment.

Gaze and greet: Look at yourself in the mirror. Gently. Softly. Without judgment. Whisper or write what you see that is beautiful. Go deeper than the surface — into your essence. Who are you beneath the noise?

Cleanse and anoint: Dip your fingers into the rose water and gently touch your heart, your forehead, and your throat. Say:
“I honor the truth of who I am. I return to love, starting within.”

Reflect: Journal about the balance between how you show up for others vs. how you show up for yourself. Where have you been sacrificing your joy or silencing your needs?

Close: Blow out the candle and thank yourself for showing up. You may choose to keep the rose water and use it as a reminder of self-devotion throughout the week.

Libra teaches us that balance doesn’t mean everything is perfectly even — it means creating space for you to be fully present. To be whole. To be heard.

If this full moon stirred something in you, take it as a sign to tend to your inner home. Your beauty. Your becoming.

You are the love you’ve been waiting for. The more you choose you, the more the world reflects that back.

With lunar love,

Michelle
